Students with a (bio)medical master’s diploma are eligible for a PhD track at an umc, leading to graduating with the highest academic degree of ‘Doctor of Philosophy’ (PhD).

In this track, PhD students are trained to become independent researchers. In the recent past, all umcs designed this training as a researcher in graduate schools. Through the joint specialist and methodological courses, the PhD students receive education of an ensured level of quality. In addition, they can also build up a social network. The training pays a lot of attention to social and academic skills.
